Wave your Magic Wand

It is amazing to see the change (within and without) when one realizes that all one has to do is to apply (make use of) what one already know and have to become happy, healthy and wealthy. It is easier to think that the answer to our troubles lies out there—with the government, better education, more money, powerful allies.
 
But all you need to cross to the other side, to get to the next levelof your life, ministry, career, relationship IS ALREADY WITH(IN) YOU. What is it that you do and do well—act, sing, make people laugh, teach, cook, care, preach, sport—that’s your magic wand, wave it to cross your troubled waters as you serve others, to His Glory!

Dreams can come True!

“…“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?…” © Luke 14:28 NIV emphasis and italics mine

It is not enough to dream, have visions, aspirations and great desires at heart IF these are not translated into PAPER, PLANS made and the first PRACTICAL steps are taken getting the dreamer closer to the dream. Many are dreamers, but few, very few wake up and roll their sleeves to go to work...and these are the few whose dreams come true!

Jesus in the scripture above is teaching us to be planners; that is we sit down and disconnect ourselves from the dreams and look at it objectively as we start planning towards it--the resources we will need and how much it will cost us (not necessarily financial costs). Do you have a dream 2012? wake up and begin to work towards it no matter how small the steps.

Use your Platform

“...If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless...”(c) Phil 3:4-6, KJV italics mine
 
Ever wondered why most of the New Testament was not written by one of the twelve apostles who were close to Jesus? Why Paul? A close inspection of who he was gives a clue. A Pharisee of Pharisees, zealous of keeping God of Moses, He was God’s perfect candidate to preach ‘Grace’ to the ‘Gentiles’.
 
May I submit to you that who you are—education, experience, marital status, job title, wealth, position and power is all but a platform from which you gain not only acceptance but also legitimacy to minister to certain profile of people. My question is, are you using your platform for the Kingdom or basking in your own glory and self importance?
