Passover or Pesach [Pasaka] (from Hebrew פֶּסַח Pesah, Pesakh, piskha) is a Jewish
festival celebrating the
day the angel of death from the Lord passed over Jews Houses (covered in blood
on frames) as he killed all first borns in Egypt thus triggering the liberation
and exodus of Israel Children from slavery in Egypt and a 40 year travel to the
Promised Land.
“Take a bunch of hyssop, dip
it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on
the top and on both sides of the doorframe.
None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning. When the Lord goes
through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he
will see the blood on
the top and sides of the doorframe and
will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to
enter your houses and strike you down” Exodus 12:22-23
NIV
Today is
not a day to mourn and be weary; it is a day we celebrate the blood shed for us
and our victory – that if we stay under the blood of Jesus, covering our
Marriage, Household, Businesses and anything we commit under the blood – the destroyer
has no authority or power to touch them.
