“…But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you...” John 14:26 AMP (italics and emphasis mine)
Less than 10 years ago, before technology blessed us with navigators, we used printed maps, compass or stopped on the road to ask direction from people who knew where we wanted to go. From the traveler’s point of view, nothing has changed; you still need to know your destination prior to embarking on the journey. Which road you take depends on the destination (destiny) you want to arrive at…and sometimes it was necessary to stop, park the car, and read the map before driving off again.
Do you know your destination?…I mean here on earth, who were you made to be? What were you made to achieve? If you don’t know your destination, how do you know which road to take? when you are lost on the way, how do you ask help? When you check the map, what do you look for? I believe the Holy Spirit in us is able to tell us of our destiny and we can ask Him for directions, we can also consult our map (God’s word) and seek counsel (direction) from Godly people.
