A “will” also known as “testament” is a legal declaration (normally written down by the witness/lawyer) that a person makes on how his affairs—properties—should be managed upon his/her death. When Jesus died (buried, rose and ascended to heaven), He left us a “will”, a legal declaration, on how we should handle the affairs of His Kingdom until His return.
Thus, God’s general will is found in the written testament—Logos; God’s specific will for an individual is revealed in the Logos as Rhemaword. God also uses dreams, visions, angels and people to communicate a specific will for an individual. But in absence of general and specific instruction for a particular scenario, the rule of thumb is to use common sense-wisdom-without contradicting God’s general will.
