"…when they heard this, they were pricked in their
heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto
them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the
name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift
of the Holy Ghost…" Acts

Computer games are
fun and enjoyable especially because every time you lose, you simply hit
''Reset" button and start afresh as if the lost game never happened.
Wouldn't it be great if life had a reset button? Wrecked your marriage |business
|friendship |finance? just hit reset button, right?
"Repentance"
is the reset button; this button works if there is a genuine change of heart and mind about what was done, regretting
remorseful after 'realizing' that 'the did' was not right and seek
'forgiveness' and usually with the desire to seek restitution. At that instant,
the reset is hit_start over.
N.B.: Please note that, whilst God's forgiveness (and that of others) may give us
another shot to life, the consequences [repercussions | impact] of the done deed do not necessarily go away with the ReSet button.
