Give and it shall be given 2U!

“So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work” © 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 AMP italics and emphasis mine

Why is it so easy to believe John 3:16, but we struggle with Luke 6:38 and Proverbs 19:17. Isn’t the spirit behind the ‘word’ the same? May I submit to you that the reason is we are prejudiced with our tradition and core beliefs based on past experiences. But if John 3:16 is true, then Luke 6:38 should also be true otherwise John 3:16 and Romans 10:9,10 are not to be believed.

God is calling us to live a life of giving, giving with ‘expectations’ to receive. There is a place to give—out of love, in response to the needs, AND there is a place to give strategically in order to receive. Elijah told the widow, IF you GIVE me FIRST, ‘your supply’ will not end…you can give your way out of poverty if you work with the Holy Ghost.
