Kingdom Rights (and Privileges)

“…So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life..." Luke 18:29,20 AMP (italics and emphasis mine)

In the United Kingdom , citizens and permanent residents have certain rights and privileges (benefits?) for being in the kingdom. Most of these rights have to be claimed and some have to be claimed continuously to receive them even though they are rightfully and duly due to you. The Kingdom of God is likewise, we don’t get automatically (everything) what is due to us; Jesus said, “…ask…knock…seek…” (Matt 7:7) and James said, “…you get not for you ask not…” (James 4:2) The concept that God’s will/purpose for one’s life will be accomplished regardless is a lie from the enemy to keep us from doing what is necessary to get what is rightfully ours.

The truth of the matter is, God’s plan and purpose FOR HIS KINGDOM will proceed as He has planned irrespective of our actions but as far as you and I are concerned, we have an active role to play when it comes to the path we take, what we have on the way and our destiny. Jesus said, “…If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!...” (Matt 7:11, AMP, emphasis mine)

Kingdom is here!

“…But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women..." Acts 8:12, NIV (italics and emphasis mine)

Unadulterated Gospel is very rare in our time, and when it is preached, we rarely hear about the Kingdom of God. When the Kingdom of God is preached, it is used inter-changeably with heaven. Jesus spoke so much about the Kingdom of God. He said, "...seek first the Kingdom and God...", (Matt 6:33), which means it can be found. He also said, "...If I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you..." (Matt 12:28).

When we believe in the Gospel, we enter into God's kingdom and like any other Kingdom; it has a King and a Domain (dominion-territory). In His Kingdom, we have not only rights and privileges but also a King, master or ruler. Most Christians love the privileges we have in the Kingdom but not the Lordship of Jesus in every aspects and areas of our lives...if Jesus is not your Lord (King and Master)? are you in the Kingdom of God?

Have a case? challenge God

“…put Me in remembrance [remind Me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right)..." Isa 43: 26, AMP 1987 (italics and emphasis mine)

In Nov, 2007, Senator Ernie Chambers sued God. He stated that, "...God has caused calamitous catastrophes resulting in the wide-spread death, destruction…of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants including innocent babes, infants, children, the aged and infirm without mercy or distinction..."1 Chambers also said, "...God has manifested neither compassion nor remorse, proclaiming that He will laugh when calamity comes..."1 While Chambers was trying to prove how frivolous are lawsuits in America, He achieved more than that.

There comes a time when you will have to stand before God and challenge Him on your behalf, your family's, your church or your country. Moses and King Hezekiah Challenged God’s decision (Ex 32 & Isa 38)...do you have a case? He invites you into his ''chamber'' so that you can make your case against Him…bring it with reference to His word and request for a hearing. Fear not, He is just and righteous...with Him is no corruption or favoritism.

Healing our mama Land!

“…if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land..." 2 Chr 7:14, AMP (italics and emphasis mine)

As we enter the New Year, we are painfully aware of the things that needs healing in our land; thriving corruption, economy, innocent people die and guilty go free, the poor denied their right, justice perverted. Extortion and robbery is the order of the day. Ezekiel said, "...people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy, denying them justice..." (Ezek 22:29, NIV)…and because there is no one to fill the gap (created by sin) between God and the land...God will destroy both the land and men.

God tells Solomon, if the people of the land wants God to heal their land they should do four things, ONE: Humble themselves, willingly and genuinely, TWO: pray, talk to God, fill the gap between the land (and people) and God, THREE: Seek His face, that is pay close attention to Him and what He has to say (read His lips, eyes and facial expressions), get to know Him and His will and purpose, and FOUR: Turn away from wicked ways, sinful path. Then and only then will He forgive our sins AND heal our Land.

New Year Resolutions

“…Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it..." -Gen 4:6-7 NIV italics and emphasis mine

As we enter into the new year, it is customary to have new year's resolutions in place...contemplating what one wants to achieve in the year. What we often don't do is take time to consider what we should have done in the ending year. May be it is because we don't realize our destiny is realized in what we do...the choices that we make, the path we choose to walk in. God has given us, humans, the free will.

What God tells Cain is astounding, God is saying your destiny is in the choice that you make. He says IF you do well, that is, if you change what you do...you will be accepted same as your brother, OTHERWISE, sin is seeking to destroy you. Deut 30:19, God says He has set before us life and death, blessing and curses for everyone to choose. God has given us everything at our disposal...it all comes down to us to make a choice (and follow through) of what is going to be.
