He is Alive!!!

“…Then He (Jesus) said to them (His disciples) 'thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that the repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. And you are witnesss of these things…” © Luke 24:46-48, NKJV, italics, words on brackets and emphasis mine

Gospel is proclamation of the good news i.e. Jesus is risen from the dead, He is alive. He has paid our debt so that we can go free IF we accept the ultimate sacrifice He paid on our behalf. He died spiritually (being separated from the Father) and physically (separation of the spirit from the body) and for what? so that we don't have to.

Isa 53:3-5 declares that He bore our grief and carried our sorrows and by His stripes we are healed. So the next time you want forgiveness of sin, healing, provision, joy and happiness...talk some sense to yourself, tell self "self, it is paid for, all of it, all I need to do is to accept, believe and receive" in Jesus name-Amen.

Ministry of Failure—Lesson from St Peter!

“…"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you…” © Matt 16:6-7 NIV, italics and emphasis mine

Anyone who has significant achievement has failed at something at some point. Failure makes a big man cry, it instils humility and patience with others. On the flip side many people fail to achieve their destiny because of ‘fear of failure’…what if it doesn't workwhat if I failwhat if I don’t make it…Just because you've failed at something it doesn't make you a failure—you haven’t failed until you quit!

Peter failed Jesus, denied Him publicly THREE times; yet Jesus instructs them to call him back and he became the most prominent apostle. IF you are to achieve anything worthwhile, your desire for success must be greater than your fear of failure. You must be obsessed with your purpose, cast out fear…it must become your DO or DIE otherwise you will lead a mediocre life with mediocre achievements!

Word on the Street!

“…"Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees... they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.;`.…” © Matt 16:6, 12 NIV, italics and emphasis mine

Many are people who build their lives based on what they ‘have heard’ on the street (or pulpits) with little or no efforts to validate the facts/truths for themselves. We hear things like “marriage is hard”, “business is risky”, “politics is for unbelievers”, “it takes money to make money”, “women are weak” etc most of which are based on one’s personal experience as opposed to universal law.

Jesus warned His disciples to be careful on “what they allow themselves to hear AND believe” i.e. word on street. Beloved, test every spirit, check every word and sentence you hear regardless of who said it. Build your life based on the proven word of God, precept after precept and not opinion (and elaborations) of men. You can read and can HEAR GOD use your senses!!!

How to tell a Counterfeit

“…Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.…” © Col 3:16 NKJV, italics and emphasis mine

I am told that experts in counterfeit money do not study the counterfeits, they study genuine. They study the appearance, looks, shapes, details, texture and smell of the genuine. Having spent so much time studying the genuine, once a fake is presented, they recognize it immediately as a counterfeit because it will not look, appear or be anything like the real one.

For the same reason we are urged to study the word of God; when we immerse ourselves in the true gospel we don’t have to worry about the counterfeit for once it appears, we recognize it immediately for it will stand out from the truth. Many false prophets/teachers are in the market place today, but those who study diligently God’s word will know them.
