Vision Precedes ProVision

“...[Consider this:] What soldier at any time serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat any of the fruit of it? Who tends a flock and does not partake of the milk of the flock…” ©1 Corinthians 9:7, AMP italics and emphasis mine

I am persuaded that ‘where God sends, He provides’, when God gives you a vision, He will provide for it. Which leads to the question, what if there is no provision does it mean that one is not sent? Let us think about this logically, why would God (who owns everything) send me on assignment but withhold the means (opportunity and resources) knowing I cannot do without it?

I am not saying that when one has means then one is sent, but where there is lack of means (financial, human and material resources) to accomplish what ones believes is God’s vision it could be a sign that one is not walking in obedience to God. Did God send you to it? Is this the right time and place? Are you walking in obedience to God’s principle for His provision?

Dreams Can Come True

“…Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more…” © Gen 37:5, NIV italics and emphasis mine

Average people don't like dreamers, to 'dream' has almost become a dirty shameful word; they say you live in ''utopia land'' and have lost touch with reality. Yet I believe and know that God uses dreams (the ones you dream at night, or your earnest desires in heart) to give us hope to face present adversity. A man (or woman) without dream is a man without hope or purpose for life.

Do you have a dream (get one if not)? have faith in God as you wake up to work with Him to make it a reality. Be careful though who you share your dream with; cut off anyone or anything who/that discourages, kills or despise your dreams...they belong to your past. Be around dreamers who believe and work towards realization of their dreams.

Has Your Cloud Moved?

“…[For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides]…” © James 1:8, AMP italics and emphasis mine

Have noted that some people always have an excuse (and a looong story) why they are/were not successful in this or that endeavour? They change city, job, business, church, friends etc like day and night. If asked, they say they want to keep abreast with changing times, the spiritual ones say ‘the cloud has moved’. They have never learnt to stick with it to the end—through thick and thin.

Successful people diligently find the gift (talent) and calling (assignment) which God has mandated them and faithfully (effectively and efficiently) work at it through thick and thin—till the end. To them, working on their talent and assignment is neither a chore nor work but rather a pleasure being of service, to help someone solves a problem—and those who solve problems GET PAID!

New Years Resolutions

“…roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed…” © Prov 16:3, AMP italics and emphasis mine.

Let’s talk about new-year’s resolutions, plans and strategies that we all (well most of us) make every year. While it is important and wise to do so, many of us don’t follow through and we have never bothered to find out why. I would encourage you to look back first what you ‘wrote down’ last year, see why you did not do what you set out to do.

In many cases, you will find busy-ness of life gets the best of us and we loose focus and ultimately the course of what we know we need to do. Note the emphasis on scripture above, “your works/your plans”. SOLUTION: set aside at least 30mins a week to go back to your resolution—check your pace, milestones and course.
