Use your Platform

...If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless...”(c) Phil 3:4-6, KJV italics mine
Ever wondered why most of the New Testament was not written by one of the twelve apostles who were close to Jesus? Why Paul? A close inspection of who he was gives a clue. A Pharisee of Pharisees, zealous of keeping God of Moses, He was God’s perfect candidate to preach ‘Grace’ to the ‘Gentiles’.
May I submit to you that who you are—education, experience, marital status, job title, wealth, position and power is all but a platform from which you gain not only acceptance but also legitimacy to minister to certain profile of people. My question is, are you using your platform for the Kingdom or basking in your own glory and self importance?
