Stagnant Ponds

"Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity" Luke 6:38 (MSG) italics and emphasis mine

Water body that has only inlets with no out lets is called a stagnant pond. Stagnant ponds are dead water bodies. Dead water bodies kill anything and everything around and inside them. They are stinky and harmful to our environment. You will recognize them because they are stinky and sticky with no life around them – just like dead people.

When all you do is receive and receive giving nothing away, you become stagnant, dead and harmful. You kill everything in and around you – you also carry a distinct stinky smell called stingy aroma. You want a way out of lack – give, become generous with your time, money, skills and watch as God causes more to flow in and through you.
