Common Sense, not very common

“…Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, "Why stay here until we die? If we say, 'We'll go into the city'-the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let's go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die…” 2 King 7:3-4 NIV (italics and emphasis mine)

What do you do when you are offered two jobs or you have two opportunities for investments (can’t take them both)…or let us make it interesting, you are a young lady ready to be married and two very spiritual brothers have approached you or you are anointed brother but can't make the choice between the choir mistress or the pastor's daughter AND in all these you have prayed (and fasted) and the Lord is silent.

The four lappers in the text above used common sense and they became God’s instrument to fulfil a prophecy. So my take on this is, in absence of God’s specific direction, you have to USE the MIND that God gave you. You may enquire counsel from others, but ultimately the responsibility is yours to make that choice... While you are waiting on God, He is waiting on you; He is silent for He knows you have what it takes. He says, "...I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses, CHOOSE..." Deut 30:19.
