Delilah was a Hero

 ^“And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand. And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.” ©Judges 16:18-19, italics and emphasis mine

Many teachings/preachings potray Delilah as the culprit for Samson’s failure; they forget that Samson was anointed to kill her people. Think about it, Delilah was a hero to her people, she conquered what an army of men could not. Samson on the other hand let himself down by disobeying God and his parent’s instructions in many ways and places.

Many are people who would rather blame circumstances and others for their failure all the while it is their doing that betrays them in the first place. We are all going to fail at something at some point. A successful person is the one who learns to survive failure by taking ownership of the mistakes and learn from them instead of assigning blame to others.
