a Realistic God

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Me?" Jeremiah 32:27 AMP italics and emphasis mine

"This is unrealistic, we can't expect God to answer this, really" retorted angry church elder in a church leaders' meeting. His argument was, we were wasting time petitioning God for something that was not realistic. It was unrealistic for a handful of economic refugees in a foreign land to expect God to grant their petition to own a chunk of land.

The term "unrealistic" is subjective (based on individual view | perception) usually refers to something 'not sensible', 'improbable' and 'idealistic'. I can see why God prepared Moses for 40 years then used Moses to prepare Israelites for THEIR Promised Land for 40. God was ready to do the unrealistic but Israel was not until 80 years later...
