“…and call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor and glorify Me…” Psalm 50:15 AMP [italics & emphasis mine]

Sometimes we mess up so bad and being human we fear going back to God for help for, He had forewarned us yet we disobeyed and fell into problems. We have ‘the prodigal son’ mentality, when the prodigal son realized that he was in trouble, he decided to go back home ‘as a slave’. Yet, his father received him joyously and threw him a party-his son was re-born [Luke 15].

The writer of Hebrews [4:15] says we have a high priest who can sympathize and understand our weakness; we can therefore come back to God when in trouble and expect to have a warm reception-and if we have sinned, we will be forgiven. When in trouble, your first stop should be ‘on your knees’ for if we can kneel before God, we can stand up to anything.
