“…that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you. That you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing…” 1 Thes 4:11 NKJV, italics and emphasis mine
I read a poster once which said there are two reasons why people don’t mind their own business, one they don’t have mind and two they don’t have business…well, mmmh?...there is a big difference between caringly and lovingly being concerned for others (being there for others) and simply being a busy-body, meddling in other people’s business.
We need to understand that our life—and what God wants us to be, do and achieve with it—is a business (which must bring forth returns). For business to thrive, it must have a “business plan”. The plan should explicitly detail where one is against where one ought to be and how to get there...so what’s your business? Do you have a “written down plan?”
